About this tool
Get a sound file into the format your phone, editor or website needs. Pick the format and bitrate, and titles, artists and cover art come along wherever the new format can hold them. Add a whole album and you'll get one ZIP file back, with each track converted.
Common questions
Which format should I choose?
MP3 plays everywhere. M4A sounds a little cleaner at the same size. FLAC and WAV keep everything, so they suit archiving and editing, but they make much larger files.
Will my song titles and cover art be kept?
Yes, in MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG and Opus. WAV keeps titles but not cover art. Plain AAC has nowhere to store either, so choose M4A if you want to keep them.
Will a higher bitrate improve an MP3?
No. Converting can't bring back what was lost when the file was first compressed. It only makes the file larger, and the page will warn you.
Is it free to use?
Yes. There's no sign-up, and nothing is added to your file unless you ask for it.
What happens to my files?
Your files are only used to run the tool you chose, and they're deleted automatically after about 24 hours.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It all works in your browser, on any computer or phone.
