Neatly Done

Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 November 2026

This page explains what happens to your information when you use Neatly Done. You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name or email to use any tool.

Tools that run in your browser

Text, calculator, QR code, password and most developer tools run on your own device. What you type or choose in them isn't sent to us. Each of these pages says so.

Tools that use our server

PDF, image, video, audio and Office tools need our server to do the work. A file you add is used only to run the tool you chose, and it's deleted automatically after about 24 hours, along with the result. We don't sell your files or share them.

When you download a PDF from a builder, such as the resume or invoice tools, your document is sent to our server to create the file and is removed straight afterwards. AI tools run on our own server, so your documents aren't sent to an outside AI company.

What's saved in your browser

Your theme, your recently used tools, your notes in the notepad and your work in the builders are saved in your browser's own storage, so they're still there when you come back. So is whether you've already answered “Did this tool do the job?” on a page. They stay on your device until you clear them.

Visitor statistics

We count visits so we know which tools people use and which need work. This uses no cookies and nothing is stored in your browser for it. For each page you open we keep the page, the name of the site that sent you there (such as google.com), your browser and system type (such as Chrome on Android), whether your screen is a phone, tablet or computer size, and your browser's language.

To count each person once a day, your IP address and browser details are mixed with a random value that changes every day, and only the result is kept. Your IP address itself isn't stored, and the random value is deleted each day, so visits can't be linked from one day to the next or traced back to you. Words typed into our tool search are counted the same way, so we can see what people look for. These statistics are deleted after about 13 months.

Feedback

If you answer “Did this tool do the job?”, we keep your answer, the page and any message you write, until we've dealt with it. Please don't put personal details in the message. When a tool fails unexpectedly we note the kind of fault and where in our code it happened, so we can fix it, but not your file or its name.

Short links

If you use the URL Shortener, the address you shorten is stored with a click count so the link keeps working. You can delete a link from the same browser you made it in.

Tools that contact other services

DNS, WHOIS, SSL and similar tools connect to the site or service you name, and exchange rates come from a public rates service. The Password Strength Checker can check a password against known leaks, but only when you press the button. It then sends the first 5 characters of the password's hash to Have I Been Pwned, never the password itself.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may record basic details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. These help keep the site secure and running. To stop abuse, the server briefly counts requests from each address and slows down any that send far too many.

Advertising and cookies

This site shows ads from Google, which keep the tools free. We don't set our own advertising cookies.

You can read more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
