Examples
If your Class 12 exam is on Wednesday 17 February 2027 at 10:30 am, a countdown opened on 4 November 2026 at 10:30 am shows 105 days, 0 hours, 0 minutes.
A 3 hour mock test: set 3 hours and press Start at 9:00 am, and the alarm goes at 12:00 noon. Pause it for a 10 minute interruption, and it ends at 12:10 pm instead.
Share a wedding countdown: set the date and time, add the label "Priya and Arjun's wedding", and Copy link. Everyone who opens the link sees the same days, hours and minutes left.
About this tool
Set a length of time, such as 10 minutes for a quiz or 3 hours for a mock exam, or pick a date and time to count down to, such as the first day of your board exams or a wedding. The numbers are large and can fill the screen. An alarm sounds at zero, and Copy link gives an address that opens the same countdown on any device.
Common questions
How does the share link work?
The countdown is written into the link after the # sign, such as the exam's date and time. Browsers don't send that part to a server, so nothing is stored, and anyone who opens the link sees the same countdown.
Does a countdown to a date work across time zones?
Yes. The link stores the exact moment, so a countdown to 10 am in India shows the right time left for someone abroad, with the end shown in their own local time.
Will the alarm ring if the tab is in the background?
Yes, if the alarm is ticked and you've tapped the page once so the browser allows sound. The alarm is scheduled ahead on the audio clock, so it rings on time.
What's the longest countdown?
A length of time can be up to 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. A countdown to a date can be months or years ahead.
Is it free to use?
Yes. There's no sign-up, and you can use it as often as you like.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool runs inside your browser, so what you enter stays on your device.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It works in your browser on a computer or a phone.
