About this tool
Pick a start date and an end date to see the gap in days, weeks, and in years, months and days. Tick the box to count the end date as well, or count only Monday to Friday. You can also add or subtract years, months and days from a date. Only calendar dates are used, so there is no time zone drift.
Common questions
Should I include the end date?
If you are counting nights, no. If a leave or an event runs 'from the 1st to the 5th' including both days, yes. That gives 5 days instead of 4.
Does working days count public holidays?
No. It skips Saturdays and Sundays only, and you can keep Saturday as a working day. Subtract holidays yourself.
What if the dates are the wrong way round?
They are swapped for you, and the page says so.
Is it free to use?
Yes. There's no sign-up, and you can use it as often as you like.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool runs inside your browser, so what you enter stays on your device.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It works in your browser on a computer or a phone.
