How to calculate the time between two times

Common questions
How are night shifts handled?
If the end time is earlier than the start, the end is taken to be on the next day. 22:00 to 06:00 is 8 hours.
What are decimal hours?
Minutes written as a part of an hour. 7 hours 30 minutes is 7.5 hours, which is easier to multiply by an hourly rate.
Can I add 90 minutes to a time?
Yes. Choose 'Add or subtract time', enter the start time and the hours and minutes. It tells you if the result is on another day.
