About this tool
Type an amount, choose the two currencies, and see the converted amount with the rate used. Rates are the daily reference rates published by the European Central Bank, and the date is shown on the page. They are not the rate a bank or a money changer will give you, which includes a margin. If you are offline, the last saved rates are used.
Common questions
Is this the rate my bank will give me?
No. These are reference rates. Banks, cards and money changers add a margin or fees, so the real rate is usually a little worse.
How often do the rates change?
Once a working day, in the afternoon in Europe. The page shows the date of the rates it is using.
Why is my currency missing?
Only the currencies the European Central Bank publishes are listed, about 30 of them.
Is it free to use?
Yes. There's no sign-up, and you can use it as often as you like.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool runs inside your browser, so what you enter stays on your device.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It works in your browser on a computer or a phone.
