About this tool
Match the code to your brand with your own colors, a two-color gradient, rounded dots and different corner shapes. Scanners need dark shapes on a lighter background, so the tool measures the contrast and warns you when it is too low or when the colors are inverted, then tests that the finished code still reads.
Common questions
Why does my light-on-dark code not scan?
Many scanners expect dark dots on a light background and fail on inverted codes. Keep the code darker than the background.
How much contrast do I need?
Aim for a ratio of at least 4.5 to 1. The tool shows the ratio and warns you below that. Below 3 to 1, most scanners will fail.
