About this tool
Type the original price and the discount to see what you will pay and how much you save. For offers like '20% off, then another 10% off', use the second discount box. The second discount is taken from the already reduced price, so two discounts never add up to the simple sum. You can also find the original price from a sale price.
Common questions
What is 20% off and then 10% off in total?
It is 28% off, not 30%. 1,000 becomes 800 after 20% off, then 720 after 10% off that price.
How do I find the original price from the sale price?
Divide the sale price by 1 minus the discount. If you paid 800 after 20% off, the original was 800 / 0.8 = 1,000. Use the 'Original price' option.
Does this include GST?
No. It only handles the discount. Use the GST calculator to add tax afterwards.
