Examples

Three photos of a three-page rent agreement, saved as PDF, come back as one PDF with three pages in the order you captured them.

Two photos saved as JPG come back as a ZIP holding two JPG images, one per page, numbered 01 and 02 so they stay in order.

A sheet photographed at an angle on a dark table, in a 2000 x 1500 pixel photo, comes back upright at about 1,140 x 1,150 pixels with the table cropped away, and the result shows edges found 1 of 1.

One photo saved as PNG with the Black and white look gives a single PNG with only pure black and pure white pixels, which keeps text sharp for printing.

About this tool

Open this page on your phone, select Use camera and photograph each page. You can hold the phone at an angle: the page edges are found and the page is straightened, and the Clean document look evens out shadows from your hand or a lamp. Save every page in one PDF with searchable text, or as JPG or PNG images, one per page, for forms that ask for a picture of a document.

Common questions

Should I save as PDF, JPG or PNG?

PDF keeps every page in one file and can include searchable text. JPG makes small images that most upload forms accept. PNG loses no detail: with the Black and white look it usually makes the smallest file, but in color it makes bigger files than JPG.

What do I get when I scan several pages as images?

One image per page, numbered in page order and packed in a ZIP file. A single page comes as the image itself.

Why won't the camera open?

The browser asks for your permission first, and it only allows the camera on an https:// address. If it still won't open, take the photos with your camera app and add them here.

Can I search the text in a JPG or PNG scan?

No. Only the PDF option adds a layer of searchable text. To get the words out of an image, use Image to Text.

Is it free to use?

Yes. There's no sign-up, and nothing is added to your file unless you ask for it.

What happens to my files?

Your files are only used to run the tool you chose, and they're deleted automatically after about 24 hours.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It all works in your browser, on any computer or phone.
