About this tool

Enter a page address to see how it looks as a search result and as a shared link on X, Facebook, LinkedIn and WhatsApp. The page is read by this site's server, because browsers cannot read other sites directly. The tool lists share tags that are missing, such as og:image, and warns when the title or description is too long.

Common questions

Why does my card look different on the real site?

These previews imitate each network's layout, and the networks change them. They also keep their own saved copy of a page, so use their debugging tools to refresh it.

What size should the image be?

About 1200 by 630 pixels, in a ratio of roughly 1.91 to 1, works across the main networks.

Why can't it read my page?

Only public pages can be fetched. Pages behind a sign-in, on a private network or blocked for crawlers will not load.

Is it free to use?

Yes. There's no sign-up for everyday use, and a free account raises the daily limit if you need more.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It works in your browser on a computer or a phone.

Is what I enter kept?

It's only used to get your result. Some public answers, such as the branches for a pincode, are kept for a while so the next lookup is quicker, but nothing links them to you.
