Add a portrait and choose a country. Your face is found, the head is straightened and sized to that country's published rule, and the background is replaced with white or light grey. You get a JPG at the exact millimetre size and print resolution, with warnings if the photo has a problem. Common questions
Will this photo definitely be accepted?
No tool can promise that. This handles the measurements. An officer also judges things it can't check well, such as your expression, shadows, lighting, glasses and whether your eyes are clear. The office makes the final decision.
Are edited photos allowed?
Rules differ. Indian guidance asks for photos unaltered by software, and Singapore says not to alter your face or use filters. The Australian Passport Office advises against online photo services. New Zealand forbids digital alteration, so it isn't listed here. A photo taken against a plain white wall needs the least changing.
What makes a good starting photo?
Stand a little away from a plain wall, face the camera straight on, and have someone else take the photo from about 1.5 metres away. Leave space above your head and include your shoulders and upper chest. Even light with no shadows on your face helps most.
Is it free to use?
Yes. You can use it without an account a few times a day, and a free account raises the daily limit. Nothing is added to your file unless you ask for it.
What happens to my files?
