About this tool

PDFs can carry other files inside them, such as a spreadsheet behind an invoice or the source files of a report. This tool finds them all, both those attached to the document and those pinned to a single page, and saves them under safe file names.

Common questions

Are attachments safe to open?

A PDF can carry any kind of file. Files that can run programs are flagged, but only open an attachment if you trust where the PDF came from.

Why does it say there are no attachments?

The file has none. Pictures and tables on the page aren't attachments. To get those out, use PDF Extract.

Is it free to use?

Yes. There's no sign-up, and nothing is added to your file unless you ask for it.

What happens to my files?

Your files are only used to run the tool you chose, and they're deleted automatically after about 24 hours.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It all works in your browser, on any computer or phone.
