About this tool

A guided form takes you through a cover letter one part at a time: why you're applying, what you've done, why this company, and how to close. Each part says what to put in it, and the preview shows the finished page as you type.

Common questions

What goes in each part?

The opening names the job and why you're writing. The middle shows what you've done that fits, with a number where you can. Then say why this company, and close by thanking them and asking to talk.

How long should a cover letter be?

Most fit on one page, in three or four short paragraphs. The page count above the preview tells you if yours has run over.

Can I reuse my resume details?

Yes. If you've saved a resume in our builder on this device, one button fills in your name and contact details.

Is it free to use?

Yes. There's no sign-up for everyday use, and a free account raises the daily limit if you need more.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It works in your browser on a computer or a phone.

Is what I enter kept?

It's only used to get your result. Some public answers, such as the branches for a pincode, are kept for a while so the next lookup is quicker, but nothing links them to you.
