About this tool
Lorem Ipsum is filler text used in designs and page layouts before the real words are ready. Choose paragraphs, sentences or words, enter how many, and the text appears at once. The exact count you ask for is what you get. Keep the classic first line, Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, or turn it off, and wrap paragraphs in HTML p tags for pasting into code.
Common questions
Is the text different each time?
Yes. It is built from the classic Latin word list in a new random order each time you press Make new text. The first sentence stays the same when the classic start is on.
Does it mean anything?
The words come from a scrambled passage of Latin and have no meaning today. That is the point, as readers will not get distracted by the content.
How much can I make at once?
Up to 500 paragraphs or sentences, or 5,000 words.
Is it free to use?
Yes. There's no sign-up, and you can use it as often as you like.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool runs inside your browser, so what you enter stays on your device.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It works in your browser on a computer or a phone.
