About this tool

Share your Markdown with people who work in Word. Headings use Word's own styles, so a table of contents works straight away. Tables, code blocks, quotes, task lists and links all come across, and any details block at the top of the file is left out of the document.

Common questions

Does it handle tables and code blocks?

Yes. Pipe tables become real Word tables, and code blocks keep their line breaks in a fixed-width font on a shaded background.

Can I convert several files?

Yes. Add up to 20 Markdown files and you'll get a ZIP with one Word document for each.

How long is my document kept?

Files you add and the finished document are deleted automatically after about 24 hours.

Is it free to use?

Yes. There's no sign-up for everyday use, and a free account raises the daily limit if you need more.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It works in your browser on a computer or a phone.

Is what I enter kept?

It's only used to get your result. Some public answers, such as the branches for a pincode, are kept for a while so the next lookup is quicker, but nothing links them to you.
