About this tool

A passphrase is several random words, such as those a person can remember and type. This tool picks words from the EFF Large Wordlist of 7,776 words, using the secure random generator in your browser. Each word adds about 12.9 bits, so six words give about 77 bits, far stronger than most passwords people invent.
