About this tool
A PDF keeps its details in two places: the older info dictionary and a newer block called XMP. Editing only one leaves the old values behind, which is why a changed title can still show up in search results. This tool writes both together, or clears both when you want them gone.
Common questions
Why does my browser tab show the old title?
Many readers prefer one of the two stores, and it's easy to change only the other. Saving here updates both, so check that you're opening the new file.
Does Remove all details make a PDF anonymous?
It clears the document details, but the words on the page and any hidden layers stay. For text you need gone for good, use Redact PDF.
Is it free to use?
Yes. There's no sign-up, and nothing is added to your file unless you ask for it.
What happens to my files?
Your files are only used to run the tool you chose, and they're deleted automatically after about 24 hours.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It all works in your browser, on any computer or phone.
