About this tool

Paste a slug or the path of a web address and get the words back. Hyphens, underscores and dots become spaces, file endings like .html are dropped, percent codes such as %C3%A9 are decoded, and camelCase is split into words. Choose sentence case, title case, lower case or upper case.

Common questions

Can it recover the original title?

Only roughly. A slug has lost its capital letters, punctuation and accents, so the result is a readable guess, not the exact original.

Does it decode percent codes?

Yes. A path like caf%C3%A9-menu becomes Café menu. If a code is broken, it is left as it is.

Can I do many at once?

Yes. Put one slug on each line and each line is converted separately.

Is it free to use?

Yes. There's no sign-up, and you can use it as often as you like.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. This tool runs inside your browser, so what you enter stays on your device.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It works in your browser on a computer or a phone.
