How to use the to-do list
- Type a task, and add a due date and a priority if you like.
- Tick tasks off when they're done, or use the arrows to change their order.
- Filter by active, done or overdue, and export or print the list.
Examples
Monthly bills: add "Pay electricity bill ₹1,240" due 10 November with High priority, and "Recharge mobile ₹299" due 15 November. If the electricity bill isn't ticked by 11 November, it shows as Overdue, and the Overdue filter lists only that task.
Moving house: make a list called Shifting with tasks such as "Book packers, quote ₹18,500" and "Change the address for the gas connection". Download TXT gives a plain list with a [ ] box in front of each task, ready to paste into a message.
A list of 15 tasks in no order: Sort by due date puts open tasks with the earliest date first, then open tasks with no date, and done tasks last.
About this tool
Write down what you need to do and tick it off when it's done. Make separate lists for home, office or college, give a task a due date and a priority, and filter to see only what's left or what's overdue. Everything is saved in this browser, so your lists are still there when you come back, and you can export them as a file to move them to another device.
Common questions
Where are my lists saved?
In this browser on this device, in its local storage. Nothing is sent to a server. Clearing your browsing data deletes them, so use Export to keep a copy.
How do I move my lists to my phone?
Select Export all lists (JSON) on the first device and send the file to your phone. Open this page on the phone and choose Import JSON. The imported lists are added next to any lists already there.
When does a task count as overdue?
When it isn't ticked off and its due date is before today. A task due today isn't overdue until the day is over.
Can I write tasks in Hindi or Marathi?
Yes. Anything your keyboard can type works, and it's kept as you wrote it in the TXT and JSON files.
Is it free to use?
Yes. There's no sign-up, and you can use it as often as you like.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool runs inside your browser, so what you enter stays on your device.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It works in your browser on a computer or a phone.
