About this tool
Each country sets its own photo rules, and a wrong size can delay an application. Pick the country and your photo is sized to match, in a JPG that's ready to upload or print. Each result names the official page the size came from.
Common questions
What does the US visa photo need?
The State Department asks for a square JPEG from 600 × 600 to 1200 × 1200 pixels, 240 KB or less, in sRGB color. This tool makes it 600 × 600 pixels within that limit.
Which countries have print sizes?
Canada, Schengen and Australia are set up as 35 × 45 mm prints at 600 DPI, because that is the size their sources give. Print at actual size, with no scaling.
Does this check that my photo will be accepted?
No. It sets the size and file limits only. Head size, background and lighting are up to you, and each result lists the details its source gives.
Is it free to use?
Yes. You can use it without an account a few times a day, and a free account raises the daily limit. Nothing is added to your file unless you ask for it.
What happens to my files?
Your files are only used to run the tool you chose, and they're deleted automatically after about 24 hours.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It all works in your browser, on any computer or phone.
