About this tool
Cut a picture down to what matters. Drag the box or its corners, lock a shape such as square or passport 35:45, or type the exact pixels you need. Rotate in quarter turns, or straighten a tilted horizon a fraction of a degree at a time.
Common questions
Does cropping lower the quality?
The pixels you keep aren't resized. A JPG has to be saved again, so it reuses the original's compression settings, which keeps the change too small to see.
How do I crop a passport photo?
Choose Passport 35:45, drag the box around your head and shoulders, and crop. Then use Passport Photo Resizer to reach your form's exact size.
What happens to the corners when I straighten?
Turning a picture opens empty corners. They stay clear in PNG and WebP, and take the fill color you choose in JPG. Crop inside them to remove them.
Is it free to use?
Yes. You can use it without an account a few times a day, and a free account raises the daily limit. Nothing is added to your file unless you ask for it.
What happens to my files?
Your files are only used to run the tool you chose, and they're deleted automatically after about 24 hours.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It all works in your browser, on any computer or phone.
