About this tool

Fix a song that shows up as Unknown Artist, or give a podcast episode a proper title and cover image. The current tags load into the form as soon as you add a file, so you only change what's wrong. Only the tags are rewritten. The sound is left exactly as it was.

Common questions

Does editing tags change the sound?

No. Only the information stored around the sound is rewritten. There's no re-encoding, so the quality is identical.

Why don't my changes show up in my music player?

Many players keep their own copy of the tags. Remove the song from the player's library and add it again, and it will read the new ones.

Can I use Hindi or other languages?

Yes. Tags are saved in Unicode, so Hindi, Marathi and other scripts are kept correctly, along with emoji.

Is it free to use?

Yes. You can use it without an account a few times a day, and a free account raises the daily limit. Nothing is added to your file unless you ask for it.

What happens to my files?

Your files are only used to run the tool you chose, and they're deleted automatically after about 24 hours.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It all works in your browser, on any computer or phone.
