About this tool
Some exam forms allow photos of up to 200 KB. That leaves plenty of room, so most photos keep their detail and only lose what you wouldn't notice. If your file is already within the limit, it's returned exactly as it was, so it loses nothing.
Common questions
What if my photo is already under 200 KB?
If it's a normal JPG the right way up, you get the same file back and a note saying so. That way it doesn't lose quality for no reason.
Which forms use a 200 KB limit?
Notices we read from NTA, for exams such as UGC NET, and from UPSC use 200 KB as the top of the photo range. Each notification has its own rules, so check yours.
Is it free to use?
Yes. There's no sign-up, and nothing is added to your file unless you ask for it.
What happens to my files?
Your files are only used to run the tool you chose, and they're deleted automatically after about 24 hours.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It all works in your browser, on any computer or phone.
