Paste CSV or open a file and get a JSON list back. The separator, whether comma, semicolon, tab or pipe, is detected for you. Quoted fields that hold commas, quotes or line breaks are read correctly. The first row becomes the keys, and headers like address.city can become nested objects. Values such as 007 and very long numbers stay as text so no digits are lost.
Common questions
How are numbers handled?
With the typed option on, plain numbers become JSON numbers and true or false become booleans. Values with leading zeros, such as phone numbers or 007, and numbers over 15 digits stay as text, because converting them would change them.
My file uses semicolons. Is that a problem?
No. Many European and Indian spreadsheets save with semicolons. The separator is detected, and you can also choose it yourself.
What if the file has no header row?
Untick The first row is the header, and you get a list of lists instead of a list of objects.
Is it free to use?
