Why does my CSV show Hindi as strange symbols in Excel?
Excel needs a small marker at the start of the file to read it as UTF-8. Keep Make it open correctly in Excel turned on and Hindi will show properly.

XLSX, XLSM and the older XLS format. Hidden sheets are skipped unless you choose one by name.
