Examples

Four 4000 × 3000 photos from Diwali on a square 1:1 canvas: the collage is 1080 × 1080, 2 across and 2 down. With spacing and border at 10, each photo fills a 524 × 524 square with gaps of about 11 pixels, and shows the middle 3000 × 3000 of the photo until you move its focus.

Three landscape photos with Fit the photos: the automatic layout puts one large photo on top and two small ones below, on a 1702 × 1920 canvas. Every space has nearly the 4:3 shape of the photos, so at most 5 pixels are trimmed from any edge.

Nine 3000 × 4000 portrait photos for a WhatsApp or Instagram story: 9:16 gives a 1080 × 1920 collage, 3 across and 3 down, each photo in a 341 × 621 space. That is narrower than the photos, so each keeps 2196 of its 3000 pixel width.

Twenty wedding photos on a 4:5 portrait canvas: 4 across and 5 down at 1080 × 1350, with each photo about 255 × 256 pixels.

About this tool

Combine up to 20 photos into one picture to share or print. A layout is picked for the number of photos you add, or you can choose a grid or a layout with one large photo. Set the shape, from a square post to a 9:16 story, then the spacing, border, corners and background. Click any photo in the preview to choose the part that shows.

Common questions

How many photos can a collage hold?

From 2 to 20. The layouts on offer change with the number of photos, and the automatic layout picks again when you add or remove one.

Which shape should I choose?

Square 1:1 suits a WhatsApp or Instagram post, portrait 4:5 fills more of a phone feed, landscape 16:9 suits a computer screen, and story 9:16 fills a phone screen. Fit the photos picks the shape that crops them least. The fixed shapes are 1080 pixels on the shorter side, and Twice the size doubles that for printing.

Can I choose which part of each photo shows?

Yes. Click a photo in the preview, then click or drag on the whole photo to move the box that marks what fits. The same panel moves the photo earlier or later in the collage.

Do iPhone photos work?

Yes. HEIC photos from an iPhone work as they are, and sideways phone photos are turned the right way up.

Are the location and camera details kept?

No. The collage is a new picture, so the location, date and camera details stored in your photos aren't copied into it.

Is it free to use?

Yes. There's no sign-up, and nothing is added to your file unless you ask for it.

What happens to my files?

Your files are only used to run the tool you chose, and they're deleted automatically after about 24 hours.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It all works in your browser, on any computer or phone.
